We started our storytelling activities in 2010, when we produced our first short films. Our first international feature length co-production was Karim Aïnouz’s award-winning FUTURO BEACH that premiered in competition at Berlinale 2014. Next was THE SURFACE OF THINGS by Greek director Nancy Biniadaki. Premiering at 2017 Thessaloniki International Film Festival, it won the Newcomer Director’s Award in Athens Film Festival.

Our features, documentaries, and short films have been shown and awarded at international festivals such as Berlinale, DOK Leipzig, Venice Film Festival, San Sebastian, and Thessaloniki International Film Festival.

We sustain and nourish our relationships with writers, directors and production partners – with our eyes wide open for new talents and untold stories.

Founder / Producer

Christopher Zitterbart

Christopher has more than 20 years of experience in producing. His first feature film Futuro Beach premiered in competition at Berlinale 2014. Christopher has realized countless commercials in more than 20 countries, corporate films, as well as many children’s short films that have been awarded at festivals around the world. In 2017, he received the prestigious German TV award “Grimme Preis”.

Eddie Chebbi

Before joining watchmen in 2010, Eddie worked as production accountant and coordinator on various commercials and feature films, such as Michael Haneke’s The White Ribbon and Funny Games. When he’s not busy working on budgets or planning the next car shoot, he’s an active musician in the Berlin music scene.
Junior Producer Fiction & Documentary

Jule Jäger

Jule graduated from photography and film studies at the Academy of Visual Arts Leipzig in 2016. She then worked for several production companies as an assistant and junior producer. She joined watchmen in 2018 and now supports us in project development and festival administration for feature films and documentaries.
Exec. Producer LKY

Marvin Marte

Marvin graduated in Advertising Film at the Filmakademie Ludwigsburg in 2018. He joined us in 2018 and since the end of 2019 acts as Executive Producer for the new label LKY, dedicated to the production of high-end advertising films and branded creative content.
